Peter began training Jiu Jitsu under Professor Sean Alvarez, a Renzo Gracie Black Belt, from which he received the rank of Brown Belt. From the beginning, Peter concentrated on the application of Jiu Jitsu for Self-Defense and Mixed Martial Arts. Following Professor Sean moving abroad to establish the Mazatlán Combat Club/Team Renzo Gracie; Peter traveled to Las Vegas, NV with the company of his friend Steven Williams, a Renzo Gracie/ John Danaher blackbelt, to try out for Wanderlei Silva’s professional fight team. Following a successful tryout, Peter became a member of the Wand Fight Team and began teaching, training, and competing for the team. After several years in Las Vegas, Peter moved back to his roots in New York to continue his training and study of the martial arts as well as his study of physical preparation for sports and athletics. Having now settled back in Mount Vernon, Peter opened Arena Training Center to share his teachings from his experiences to service Mount Vernon and the surrounding communities. Feeling very grateful for all his teachers, Peter is dedicated to continuing his personal studies through the Jiu Jitsu lineage he was fortunate enough to be a part of as well as in the sports sciences.
